The Directorate General of Immigration & Passports has now launched a new online system through which all the applicants can check the status of their passport. This a an extremely useful service for all the passport seekers as now they can check the status of their passport application processing online through a very simple process.
This service has been launched by Directorate General of Immigration & Passports, Government of Pakistan after analyzing the problems faced by people who have applied for passport. With the introduction of this extremely useful service, applicants will now no longer have to visit the passport offices or stand in long queue on regular basis in order to seek information about the status of their passport.

Track Your Pakistani Passport Status Check Online Details Via SMS or Website

The process of checking the Pakistani passport status online is very simple and does not require the users to go through any complicated process. The track passport via SMS service is already available but track passport status online service has been introduced to make things even more convenient. The complete process of checking the passport status online has been defined below.

1. Open the official Directorate General of Immigration & Passports (DGIP) website and register yourself as an user.
2. Click on the Online Passport Tracking System which will take you to http://tracking.dgip.gov.pk/.
3. Now enter the 11 digit tracking code/token number in the given below and click on the search button.
4. The complete updated status of your passport will be displayed immediately.

This is a free of cost service which can be used 3 times per day by an logged-in user. Remember that through this service, applicants can only check a Machine Readable Passport (MRP) status which has been processed within last 3 months.

Track Passport Status Via SMS:

If you don’t have access to internet than still you don’t have to worry as you can also check the status of your passport through SMS. All you have to do is to write and send your 11 digits token number to 9988 via SMS and your passport status will be sent to you via SMS immediately.
